If you have spent even five minutes in mainstream churchianity, you have been told that “works” are a dirty word. They tell you that any attempt to keep the commandments is legalism, and that the only thing required of you is to mentally assent to a set of beliefs. Does that hold up to the Law of Non-Contradiction? Not a chance.
In this video, we blow the lid off of this modern delusion by looking at the most black-and-white, confrontational book in the entire New Testament: the first epistle of John. Modern teachers love to paint John as a soft, passive “Apostle of Love” who doesn’t care about rules. But when you start with the Bible and stay with the Bible, you quickly discover that John is actually a hard-hitting Hebraic logician who draws a razor-sharp line between the children of Elohim and the children of the devil based entirely on one criteria: what you do.

We have to understand that the Greek word John uses for sin in 1 John 3:4 is anomia—which literally translates to “Torah-lessness”. When John says “sin is lawlessness,” he is telling you that to sin is to live as if the eternal, universal, unchanging Constitution of the Kingdom has been done away with.
If you say you are grafted into the Commonwealth of Israel, then you are commanded to walk even as King Yeshua walked. And how did He walk? In flawless, perfect Torah obedience! King Yeshua didn’t come to abolish the Law; He perfectly embodied and taught it!

The “I Know Him” Litmus Test (1 John 2:3-4): John doesn’t mince words. He says that if you claim to have an intimate covenant relationship with Yeshua, yet you refuse to guard His commandments, you are a liar, and the truth is not in you. The Demarcation of Righteousness (1 John 3:7): John warns us, “Little children, let no one lead you astray. The one doing righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.” Righteousness is not an invisible, passive cloak that covers up continuous lawlessness; it is an active, physical verb. If you are not doing right, you are not righteous.
The Manifestation of the Two Seeds (1 John 3:10): John declares that the children of Elohim and the children of the devil are manifest. How? By whether or not they do righteousness. We examine the ultimate comparison of works between Cain and Abel, proving that Abba has always judged and expected physical obedience to His standards.
The Power of Staying on the Path: We return to the visual framework of the Derekh (the Path) and the Blood Canopy. When you stay on the path in Torah obedience, you stay in Him, and you are protected. The moment you step off into Torah-lessness (anomia), you step out from under the covering and enter the ultimate danger zone.
