The Passover Puzzle

In this teaching, Jim (also known as “Mr. Batman”) pieces together the historical, prophetic, and mathematical timeline of the Messiah’s crucifixion, solving the intricate “Passover puzzle”. Jim details how the Levitical feasts operate as prophetic shadow pictures of exact historical realities. He explains that Jesus, acting as

the ultimate Passover Lamb, entered Jerusalem for the Triumphal Entry on the 10th day of the month of Aviv. This fulfilled the strict Torah requirement for the lamb to be taken into the house and inspected for four days to ensure it was completely without blemish. During these four days, Yeshua was heavily inspected and tested by the religious leaders, and ultimately declared faultless by Pilate.

A central part of this puzzle involves the mathematical precision of the “Sign of Jonah,” where Jesus stated He must be in the heart of the earth for exactly three days and three nights (a full 72 hours). Jim challenges the traditional “Good Friday” crucifixion narrative, pointing out that it only allows for one and a half days in the grave, failing to fulfill the Messiah’s own prophecy.

Instead, Jim resolves the puzzle by demonstrating that the crucifixion actually occurred between the evenings on a Wednesday, the 14th of Aviv. The key to unlocking this timeline is understanding that there were two separate Sabbaths during that week. Jesus had to be taken down from the cross and buried before sunset on Wednesday because Thursday was a High Sabbath—the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. By remaining in the grave through Wednesday night, Thursday night, and Friday night, and rising before sundown on the regular weekly Sabbath, the mathematical puzzle of the three days and three nights is perfectly solved.
